I have treated a large number of patients and their families for over forty years. My primary concern is for the well-being of mypatients who are suffering from conflicts, anxieties, and depression and experiencing unsatisfactory relationships with family, friends and colleagues and being unfulfilled in their work.
Among my specialties is the treatment of trauma victims: incest, rape, violence, physical injury and people who have survived the Holocaust, their children and their grandchildren. I have published over thirty-five articles in internationally known scholarly journals on the above mentioned topics. I continue to maintain an active practice as well as teaching and studying the patients with whom I work.
I obtained my Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Rutgers University in 1965 and graduated from the William Alanson White Psychoanalytic Institute in 1974. I have been on the teaching faculty at the Institute ever since. I am a diplomat in Clinical Psychology since 1982 and have served as a Fellow of the White Institute for ten years.
My specialty has been teaching students psychoanalytic methods for treating suffering patients, couples and families. I have been the Director of the Appointments and Promotions Committee and have served on the Training Committee for over ten years.
